Pics of Modified Gauges........

So I just finished installing some Red L.E.D.s from "dafarmer69". Great guy by the way. Anyway, he helped me change the color of my odometer and needles. I also have the Trustz Gauge Overlays......plus a couple random shots of my AVIC D3 Headunit and some gauges. Nothing real exciting but I hope you enjoy. Comments welcome.

Where did you buy the gauge overlays at? Is it a hard install?

Oh by the way, they're not that hard to install. I honestly don't remember how the install went but it's easy. The power wires for the gauges can be tapped in harness on the gauge cluster or soldered. I actually soldered/heatshrinked mine.

As long as you have a little patience, they're not so bad. They're overlays so you don't have to remove the original faces. You don't have to remove the needles either. The only tricky mod was the odometer. You have to get behind the speedo gauge and carefully pry up the LCD for the odometer to remove the orange filter that's behind it. Then you have to replace the original light with a white L.E.D.

I kind of like them, but would definitely like to see them in person before i make the purchase. Do you remember how much they were?

here's the original thread on it. It's kind of old but OP (Trustz) has posted as recently as Oct. 7 so anyone interested could talk to him. For the leds though it would be dafarmer69.

Your setup looks nice.

You're going to need a higher reading boost gauge when you get your FP Red .

I've always had the intention of installing these one day.

BTW Import Junky, where did you mount the dimmer switch?

I assume the Trustz gauges would render the stock dimmer adjustment useless?

thanks man. I definately need a higher reading boost gauge....haha lol. The switch for the overlays is tucked behind the cluster in a little cubby whole. And yes the stock dimmer would be useless.

Yeah I'll be one of the high mileage IX's on here soon. I bought it in march of 2007 brand new, so that's a good bit of miles in less than 2 years.

looks dope. i don't like the blue as it contrasts my amber interior, but i really like the overlays too.
