Car Care Essentials
Car Care Essentials
I work @ a local BMW dealership as a body porter and here are some things I picked up since I've been here...
1. The Original California Waterblade...
This piece OWNS! 15X less friction on paint than a shammois, leaves no streaks or waterspots behind, 20 bucks and you can thank me later. It's a little tricky @ 1st, but once you get the hang of it life becomes soooo much easier!
2. The Absorber...
The Absorber is the perfect counterpart to the waterblade! It fits into all the little nooks and crannys that the waterblade can't, and it's really cheap (usually around 10 bucks or so) it can be re-used for years, cleaned in the washer etc. This thing is awesome
These are just a few though, post some of yours or if you have any impressions of the above mentioned items.

i bought that california waterblade a few month back just for the hell of it (i'm a victim to new inventions all the time) and this thing rocks!!!! cuts my drying in 2/3rd. highly recommended
Turtle Wax makes a car wash that works real good. Its called Zip Wax self drying wash and wax. Its made so that when you rinse it off the water justs runs off the car. A couple of other companies make similar products. I got mine at Autozone.
Guys, just make sure you use the California Blade RIGHT AFTER you wash the car. If the car dries up even slightly, it does SCRATCH the car.
I have a black car so yes, it is the worst color to keep clean and scracth/swirlmark free. California blade is back in the closet until I get a car that is anything but black or any other dark color.
If you don't have a dark color car and you use it as soon as you finish rinsing off the soap, you're good
just my 2cents

Gonna have to grab one of those. My fav thing is Eagle One All-in-one (I think thats the name) Wheel & Tire cleaner. Spray it on, wait 30 sec and wash it off and it makes any wheel, no matter how dirty, scuffed or coated in brake dust it is, shine like brand new, tires too.

I have the Absorber also. It works good. Better than using a towel or something like that, that I use to do. With this, as soon as it gets filled with water, just twist it and all the water comes out and its ready to go for more. heh.
