CBRD TA Recap Englishtown, NJ (lots of pics)
This recap is long overdue, but I have been slammed after catching up from that horrific 17 hour drive back on Sunday/Monday.
Englishtown was a blast! Despite the rain on Saturday the turnout was still good. Hundreds of spectators and more participants than I assumed turned out.
Overall our performances were somewhat dissappointing as the CBRD TA car went down with drivetrain/transmission problems early in the day on Sunday and was unable to compete.
Furthermore, we were fighting issues with CBRD TA Blue (2nd car) the majority of the day. During one of the practice sessions on Sat we encountered a bad misfire and had to switch the SparkTech system out for the stock coils. Throughout Sunday we also encountered a minimal coolant problem which was an easy fix, the o2/hotside bolts were backing out, and I was getting locked out of 3rd gear most of the day. By the timed sessions we were able to fix most of the issues with the exception of the transmission problem. I was able to put together a decent 1:13.2 lap time which placed the car in 5th right behind the Forged Performance GTR. We were satisfied with this performance considering it was the 1st time out and the suspension was not touched all day.
This event was the first appearance by either car with their current builds in the Redline Time Attack Series. Look for both of the CBRD TA cars to be out there competing in future track events!
I want to thank all the guys at CBRD who worked their asses off to get my car ready for this event. Their trackside support was amazing. I could not ask for better team to work with
I also want to thank Sean Ivey for getting the car tuned on such short notice. The tune is flawless

we found out that our flywheel bolts backed out, and contacted the rear clutch disk hub!!
apparently red loctite and tightening with an impact gun wasnt enough on this car
I am going to check the tolerances on the flywheel etc, which i didnt get to do last time because we were in a hurry..
the trans is being gone through awesome... our shifting issues (Caused by the tilton twin before) cause notchy shifts and some missed gears..
