Mitchubishi: I've lost count already...my new IX RS

Whole lot planned for this car, but unlike the last one, very little emphasis is going to be put on making an overall package. This wont be a daily drive anymore for me, so it's all about making a fat nasty race car that still has registration and can go out on the street now and then. Otherwise, it will be a Redline Time Attack Street Class AWD car.

More back story on this later. For now, here are the pics, enjoy.

Gotta love when you start up a car with an almost straight pipe....

Taped here up for the drive home.

This is after the 430 miles and 5.5 hours of driving...held up pretty well!

Nice. Did you make some coin off of selling the old one and getting the RS?

You used the right tape this time :P

Haha nope! IX RS's are only gonna go up in value with how rare they are and how few are actually "clean". But the price was well worth it for me.

Congrats on the new car Mitch. I didn't think you'd stay out of a Evo for very long.

if its a track/"go" car why use the painters tape..its just a car. Enjoy it!
no need to tape it up.
never understood this

That's what I was thinking too. Track cars don't keep pristine paint, even if you don't hit anything.

I'm taking off all the panels possible that have VIN numbers to preserve this car as an original, numbers matching RS down the road, hence my reasoning for taping it up and protecting it as best as possible. If this doesn't make sense to you, it will many years from now...
