Evo VS Viper track battle
^very funny ha !
I copied this from a reply on a local forum to give a little more insight on the cat and mouse game
I think most of you got a pretty good idea from the video by now so heres my actual thoughts
I felt as if my brakes held me back significantly , between very incosistent pedal , to having to mash them to the floor as evident in a certain corner,, it was enough to where i was braking very early i had absolutely no confidence coming into corners all day the snake had the easy edge in the braking\corner entry department, even with the early brake effort i still had a close call.
While we're talking corner entry i will bring up tires i was using a 275 nto1 100 treadwear tire viper was on a 315\335 v700 50 treadwear tire , it was obvious to me in car that he had more mid corner grip , its hard to tell in the video but i was using everything i had short of tires screaming mid corner and upon exit.
Exit i was able to make up a little ground at times which helped lead to decent straight speeds i never felt lacking for power i even had to lift coming down the straight when i followed on the first lap .
I feel with the latest slew of mods i should have cured the braking issues , i have no want for more power at a lapping day but i am curious to try a full on sticky tire as my 245 v710s definatly have more grip then my wider newer nittos which i consider the perfect lapping tire..
As far as who won its imposible to say at a lapping day i feel in a 1-5 lap battle i mightve beat him anything more would for sure go to the viper id call this one a draw though , ( i will be checking out a high speed autox later in the year
maybe we could figure it out then. After watching the raw vids over and over you made a couple nice saves cash i hope someday to experience the whole muscle car on track thing first hand , thanks for the fantastic run!!!
Who the heck was in charge of the radar gun for that session btw grrrrrr....
Cobb exhaust , sorry i dont think they make it anymore its a titanium system ,, magnaflow makes a similar looking/quietish one as well though
