jdm bumper blues....fender fitment questions..and some other JDM bumper questions

going to go straight to the point, fitment at the fenders on my JDM bumper is horrible.

what are other people's experience with it?

could i have been sold a replica rather than OEM part and thats why it doesn't fit well, or is this likely an installer issue?

other unrelated questions:
1. what is the official "color" of the diffuser? it looks like my installer painted it a gloss black when other's is more of a matte color. (the OEM part should have been painted APEX silver but they said it wasn't matching so they repainted)

2. does anyone have pics of a clipped stock exhaust? where does it get shortened? in the piping or at the tip?

3. are any manufacturers making plate backings to cover up the JDM hole?

jdm rear comes pre painted, perfect fit....unless you screwed up installing the rivets on the metal bracket, if so

and you have to make your own plate, use cf it's in (how to section)

are you thinking a non-genuine component or are you thinking bad install?

Looks like non genuine to me.(or a lemon)

Look at the second to last photo where the very top of the bumper meets the fender by the wheel. Those angles don't look right at all...

i'm keeping the shop/vendor's name out of things until things are sorted out....

does anyone know if there are distinguishing marks that I should be able to find to confirm that it is a JDM oem part? (or are the knockoffs that good now?)

Looks authentic, but has been damaged on the passenger side...or at least the riveted metal frame is out of normal proportions.

mitch, the stock bumper fit fine, shouldn't that mean that whatever metal is on the car should be straight?

the thing that concerns me just as much as where it meets the fenders is how unstraight that it is at the bottom. look at the lines of the license plate, the bumper "cutout" for the plate and then the bottom of the bumper. its completely tweaked. it is also not connected to anything down there.

where did you friend get his part from?

so he took the fender wells or the fenders off? and are you saying that during his reinstallation of everything, things were out of whack?

Fake or repaired or whatever. And whoever repainted it to "match" the color did a horrible job because I can see the color difference from the pictures (Picture 3 shows it really bad).

Tell the vendor it's moneyback or forumwar time.
