Confirmed carbon fiber lip thread?

I've been searching for confirmed carbon fiber lip fitments and didn't really find much. I could only assume that each manufacturer has some sort of mold they make these with. I just tried installing my Do Luck style SEIBON carbon fiber lip and it doesn't even come close to fitting. It's a minimum of 1 inch too short. There is no physical way this lip will fit even with modification.

With that being said, I think it would be beneficial to those interested in purchasing carbon fiber lips to find a thread like this that could contain a buying guide of sorts.

I'm not sure the best way to set this thread up, but maybe something like this:

1. Which lip you have experience installing.

2. Whether or not any modification or drilling was required.

3. How it actually fit. 1-5 star rating.

4. Lip build quality.

5. Where you bought it, with a link.

6. And of course a pic of it installed.

I'm looking forward to some good posts in here to help me make the right choice when I buy a new lip after I return this SEIBON pos. Thanks guys.

Ill be the first Rob! Although you already know where I got mine from lol.

1. Which lip you have experience installing. Bayson R Motorsports,Do luck evo 8 lip

2. Whether or not any modification or drilling was required. Nope

3. How it actually fit. 1-5 star rating. Ill give it a 4.7, almost perfect, just some very minor gaps in a few spots. No biggie.

4. Lip build quality. Excellent

5. Where you bought it, with a link. Pointless since its ebay. Just look for Bayson R Motorsports, then search for evo lip.

6. And of course a pic of it installed.

it all depends where you live. I live in Michigan so roads are horrible, which means i would never put anything CF on the outside of the car that is close to the ground, thats why i got polyurathane ( same material as your bumper), its a lot stronger and holds abuse.

Thanks. Winter here is 10 times worse than anywhere I've ever seen so I don't even bother driving my Evo through it. I'm looking for confirmed Carbon Fiber lip fitments.

Yeah, I have an APR diffuser as well. I like the look of the carbon fiber lips better though.

I was thinking, whoever chimes in and has had theirs for a while, rate how well it has held up over time as well.

Ralliart CF lip fits perfect, and so do the JDP CF SE lips. zero issues with either, great fitment for the IX bumper. they are not, however, animal proof.

1. Which lip you have experience installing. Black Top Aero Carbon Fiber Spoiler Type D (Do Luck style)

2. Whether or not any modification or drilling was required. Yes, holes needed to be drilled to attach it to the bumper and under tray. A body shop did the work when I had to get a new bumper due to hitting a deer.

3. How it actually fit. 1-5 star rating. 4/5. The fitment of the lip to the bumper was excellent, but in order to attach the under tray, modification was needed and there is a small gap between the lip and the under tray.

4. Lip build quality. Excellent, along with fast shipping.

5. Where you bought it, with a link. Photos on the website also >> http://www.blacktopaero.com/content/...-0305-evo-viii

6. And of course a pic of it installed. If you have any further questions feel free to PM me about the lip.

Good start to a thread, I definitely like the review system for each lip. I wish Bayson R Motorsports made a do luck style polyurethane lip...

Is that the same spoiler listed here: http://www.rexpeed.net/new2007/produ....php?serial=99

I find it interesting that the website says no drilling is necessary, but yet it really is.
