Excess dust and grime on engine

Hey guys lately I have been having alot of excess dirt and grime building up on my engine, and I wondered if you guys have the same problem or the plastic vent cover on the hood needs to be replaced?

I still have my hood vent in place, I rarely have to clean the engine bay. But when I do I use purple power and it works very well.

Is super clean the same thing? I was thinking maybe the cover for my vent is just worn out and lets everything get through because im cleaning it every week, but I do live in a dusty enviroment.
