carbon trunk?

carbon trunk?

i put a seibon carbon trunk on my lancer 2003 but now the trunk open to hard..
there are a solution?

IDK what exactly your problem is, but you can always use Aerocatch latches.

u have to heat the tension bars when u put the old trunk back u have to change em

I guess your problem is that without the wing and its a cf trunk so it pop open real fast
right?

with wing , it will be heavier so it won't pop that fast for sure.
but you can also do something to the tension bar so it won't open that fast

remove one of your torsion bars in the trunk...or get the rs torsion bars

Good to know...I hate those Torsion bars...even with the RS ones won't the trunk still pop open pretty hard??

took my bars out. Helped the back of the trunk sit more flush as well.

Floormat under the trunk release handle FTW! lol

EXACTLY WHAT HE SAID IS EXACTLY RIGHT. Even with the wing and rs bars darn trunk still flys open scary fast. I had to remove mine when i installed my Viz cf trunk and i also had to modify the latch as well so i dont know if its wise to buy the rs bars knowing it most likely going to do the same thing. Also as stated my trunk was nowhere near being flush with the regular bars in once i removed them the trunk went flush only way i could get it to do that. I just remove mine and if i have to open the trunk i put my floor mat under the trigger as said above and go to the back and open it up. yes its a pain but you get used to it might fast
