Street Island Evo 700 hp 2.1L build

Hey guys so i figured it time posted a thread about my new build. Car in currently undergoing surgery at the momment once again. So after some few weeks of research taliking with some of the most well known shops such like buschur racing, awd motorsports and STM to try and decide what motor would give me the best results for my setup I decided that the 2.1L "destroke" motor was the best choice for me because of the added displacement, the ability to rev higher rpms safer than the standard 2.0L,and the longer rod ratio which will reduce the stress of side wall loading on the cylinder walls. It was a tough decision because I was really leaning towards the 2.4LR but from information I gatherd the lifespan of revving that motor so high is short.

Engine Mods are/will be

4g64 O ring block with Oem 4g63 crankshaft
87mm weisco 1400HD 10:5:1 pistons
GRP 156mm long aluminim rods
clevite bearings
Ac Engineering ported head
supertech 1mm oversize valves
Gsc Beehive valve springs
Gsc S2 camshafts with fidanza cam gears
extremepsi balance shaft eliminator
fluidampr harmonic damper
custom turbo manifold (will be replaced for STM FF manifold)
PTE Billet wheel journal bearing 6262 turbo
ARP L19 head studs
spec mini twin disc clutch with hydraulic TOB
AMS Intake manifold
Infiniti Q45 90mm TB
Sparktech pro12 CDI ignition
ID 2100cc fuel injectors
Full Blown double pumper with -8 fuel line
aeromotive FPR
Aem EMS
AWD D2 spec coilovers
Power Enterprise 1.5mm Head Gasket
Avid Racing 4pc 75A Motor Mounts

Just finished assembling and installing a BR 2.1 this past week. The same turbo besides ff. The car feels great @ just 21psi lol. When i first fired the engine with in 10 seconds of idleing i could tell the engine wanted to spin very high lol. Heading to the track today to get the boot.

Ps...this is not my car just a good friends.

never went with the any of the buschur builds because the cost to do would be way out of my budget to be shipping back and forth to where I live. But i got confidence in the parts I am ordering and the experience of my engine builder.

So while waiting on parts to arrive I decided to keep myself busy by doing some well needed cosmetic work to the engine bay and change out the old rad support

Forgot to take a before picture of the engine bay with the motor out but I decided to paint it black because I am still undecisive as to what color I want to paint the car and since black would pretty much flow with anything I decided to do it that color

also got my friend to come over to change the lower part of my old rad support with the one i had cut off my old 02 lancer ES

Here is when I sanded down my valvecover to get it powdercoated

I wanted to stick with the purple them but also wanted to the valvecover to have a sort of differnent look too it so he used some translucent purple and it shows where i sanded down the marroon which kind of looks like a purple camuflage.

ALso decided to trade my BBS MR wheels with Freind of mine for some RX7 wheels which I will be putting my 26/9.5/16 Hoosier QTPs on so i got busy with sanding them them and getting them painted right away

Question. Should I do any work to the combustion chamber on the head to match the 87mm Bore?

So I took the crank to work with me and had one of my co workers polish it on the lead machine with some 600 grit sandpaper and then some 1000 grit to finnish it off.

Pistons and rods have been ordered also and should be here sometime next week. Also took the block to the machine shop today to get the oil squirters installed.
