are you planning to source a LHD evo rack and pinion? or just gonna use the mirages? id HIGHLY recommend sourcing an evo one! the build looks like its gonna be fantastic!

I'm gonna source a LHD Evo rack, but I'll use the Mirage rack until I can find one. The LHD Evo racks are hard to find so it may take a while.

Not much progress yet. I sold the maroon mirage yesterday and will be picking one up as soon as i find one worthy. I did pick up some MR BBS's this morning though

Another update.... I was suppose to look at a silver Mirage today which would have been a decent build candidate. I probably would've bought it since I was growing frustrated in finding a white one. I've had a "WTB" ad for a white one on Craigslist for a couple weeks with no hits. Finally, a guy calls me today and said he has a white Mirage with a blown transmission. The passenger fender and door are pretty beat up as well.

He's gonna deliver it to my house tomorrow night after I get home from school. I have new doors as well so I'm not worried. Hopefully the rest of it is in decent shape. If I end up getting it, this build should start to move.....if I can quit from playing Modern Warfare 3 lol.

Once you start to build on the Mirage...the MW3 will fall to the side if, of course, you are a car junky like myself!

I'm definitely a car junky lol. In 9 years, I've had 13 cars, and this white Mirage will be # 14. Of those 13, 9 have been turbo'd and/or swapped hahaha. MW3 will lose its luster here shortly, just like MW2. I'm trying to get all my gaming in now before the other Mirage shows up. I get home from school pretty late at nights so I'll get down on MW3 at nights, and bust *** on the build on the weekends.....at least that's the plan.

So I ended up getting the white Mirage late last night. The passenger fender is messed up as well as the front passenger door. Luckily all that is getting replaced. It does have 1 dent on the left rear quarter panel that I'm going to get PDR work on. Otherwise, the roof is straight and the quarters look good (the maroon one had hail damage) and best of all it's white I'll be clay barring and buffing it out this week and will hopefully have all the body panels and doors put on by this weekend. Should at least look like an Evo 5 after this week. I'll be pulling the motor soon after and cleaning up the engine bay for the swap. I also need to strip the MR BBS's I just picked up and repaint em either black or gold.
