its a gelcoat with pigment...

it will last longer than the cheap spray that they sell on ebay or other places + you can control how light or dark you want it

its also called candy coating, the same thing they use on carbon fiber hoods to give them a slight tint with out losing the C/F effect...

i did this on the housing of my headlights and tail lights with my air brush.. looks really cool..

just did the same with my blue evo, looks unreal!!!!!!! product isa called Night Shades, i recomend 2 coats but we did 3 very dark. gives the car a awesome look, no need to spend 400 on jdm tailights!

How smooth is the surface of the lens when it's done assuming it was spray tint applied on the outside of the lens?

When i did mine, it was smooth like the stock lens. All you have to do is take your time.

They are very smooth can't even tell. As for getting pulled over its not going to happen. All the lights come right through. Red comes out just fine and so does the yellow. As for laws on lights where I'm at from driver back they can be what ever. From driver to the front is where they get picky. I will be doing the front headlights next week to see how they look.

What did you use to tint the lenses? (nightshades?) looks like a glossy finish to me, good work
