Wet sanded with 400, 600, 800, 1500, and 2000 grit
This is at 600 grit I believe.
This is at 1500 grit I believe. As you can see, it has a nice smooth reflection but not mirrored yet because no polish used yet .
Hand polished with Black Diamond polish (for Alum and Mag which our valve cover is Mag). Polishing was the easy part. Rub on with a microfiber towel in a circular motion til you start seeing black residue and keep rubbing for about 2mins, then wipe off residue with another microfiber towel. BTW, this pic was a test to see how the polish took to the valve cover, I went back and did more wet sanding and repolished it again which are the pics I posted earlier.
