If I were you, I'd delete that video and have no more discussions on this topic. That's if you don't want aggravated assault charges on you as a result of things you said and did to the guy on the video after the initial altercation. If you don't care and want a case that you are very likely to win to turn around and bite back at you, then you can ignore this post altogether and let this video be viewed by what is probably a considerably rising number of eye witnesses who would make statements against you.
As for the guy, yea, not so smart on his part for spray-painting your car. As the phrase goes, "Your freedom of speech ends from where my nose begins".

Vandal deserved a good beating.
You get caught in the commission of a crime like that, you get to deal with the consequences whatever they may be.
OP shouldn't have posted a video like that due to potential civil and criminal liabilities.

I'm glad you guys caught the guy but this could have easily been handled in a more civilized manner.
People > Cars. One is a physical possession which can be easily fixed or replaced. The other is irreplaceable. The dude is a piece of ****, but even bad people are worth more than a car in the eyes of the law. Doesn't matter if it's an Evo or a Veyron.
I really do hope you don't get into trouble for this. Get your facts straight too. If you knocked him down & took his keys you'd have no reason to "slam the door on his leg" to prevent escape. Breaking his leg can easily be deemed as assault, especially if you're holding his keys.
I've had a similar situation happen to me in the past with a car I loved way more than I do now and I can't say I didn't want to woop some ***, but nothing positive ever results in physical violence. Not for you or for them.

I slammed his leg in the door after he put his hands on me and tried to flee, I then pulled him out of the car. You had it a little backwards
