tacky or not?
if i were to do it for function over looks id only be saving 7 lbs. which isnt worth the 1349.95. as far as pictures go, its a stock ww mr (alittle scratched roof hence why i want to put the vinyl on)
and id want the roof to look like this (just the roof not the hood or anything else)

i think it would look great considering your car is white, but keep in mind you have to put some sort of adhesive onto your paint. i myself would be mighty worried of that, regardless of whatever anyone says that it doesnt screw the paint up. i have yet to see someone actually remove that vinyl film from their car yet with no problems.
As stated before, that is an OEM BMW roof in carbon on an M3.
That guy didn't get it done, he bought it that way.
My feeling is that if it's not real don't do it. I would just do a matte black vinyl roof if anything.

^ i know i understand that, thats why were talking about the matte vinyl now, my question was about the vinyl. does anyone know if its hard to clean the matte vinyl or to keep it clean? some people said its kinda hard to keep clean and some say its not bad. whats going to make or break me is how much upkeep it takes.
if you dont mind ****ing your finish and paint up try it out, but if you dont know that much about it, i would continue and do some research
