How to tell if I have HID's

So I bought my evo used and the previous owner installed some hid's. they are some cheap aftermarket brand and the ballasts are just zip tied in where he could fit them. My question is how do I know if he changed out the housings for the HID housings?
Is there any way to tell a difference?

Here is some pics about halfway down.

Those are non-HID housings.

If you can get to the low beam bulb without removing the entire headlight housing, they're non-hid housings.

Ok, the reason I am asking about this is because I seem to have low visibility with the low beams. It's been that way ever since I've had the car.
I guess I'll yank the hid's out of there and try some regular bulbs and see if it helps.
Thanks Guys.

I believe the HID housing will have a spot to mount the electric level motor and ballast on the bottom of the headlight housing. I do not believe that the non HID housings have these previsions for mounting the Ballast to. Hopefully that helps even though it is hard to see the bottom of the headlights when they are in the car

Thanks,
Dallin

Easiest way to tell is that all HIDs have fogs.

hid on evos come with foglights and a leveler for the hid projector, if you have two empty spots below the acd button then you most likley have a gsr w/ the ssl package. if its after market then thats a diffrent story. hope that helps.
