I'm eating at my local burger joint next to Kroger and this raunchy thunderstorm comes out. I'm thinking I parked away from everyone at the back and closer to the uphill portion of the parking lot so i should be okay.



I come back out and a Kroger(Dunwoody - Atlanta) shopping cart is basically humping my bumper (no evident scratches maybe some clear coat) and one huge ding on my driver side back seat door.

I went to the store manager who was trying to close down the shop since there was no electricity after the storm and he gave me the store's number and the two managers that work there. He said to call in tomorrow.

I asked him what the protocol was and he said that they will ask me to fix my car and they will pay for the bill.


Just wanted to know if they will try to run away from this and if anybody else has experienced this.


I snapped some pics everywhere, but I have a meeting at 6 in the morn. So too tired to put that up right now. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated

 

Probably some clown who thought it'd be funny to **** with your car. I hate people.

 

Dang bro that suks.. Hopefully they stick to their word, and pay to fix your car!

 

I know someone whos mom was at a McDonalds drive through and the plastic menu's at the drivethru came loose with a gust of wind and dented/scratched the fender. Same story from them, they told her to get 3 quotes from bodyshops. Choose the shop she felt would do the best job, provide copies of all three quotes and get the work done. Once completed McDonalds directly paid the bill at the bodyshop.

I think they handled it well. Eliminates people asking for $ then not fixing the damage. (Not saying that is something you would do).

Maybe mention the idea to them about 3 quotes and direct bill the burger joint. Might make them less weary about it.
