Yea each latch is rated to over 150lbs before failing so I wouldn't be worried about just 1 latch per side not being secure enough. I'm being told one latch per side can act as a bit of a pivot and cause the seams to not line up as well. Not sure how much of a factor that is though since the bumper clips in on the crash beam when you're installing it.

hmm ..maybe they dont like you? lol

I got quoted same price as the ToxicFab ones and the move over kit has 2 more quick releases which looks way more secure. 205 for billet and 220 for black shipped- and the TF ones are 200 shipped..pretty much the same price and you get twice as much.

easy decision, def picking these up for my IX!

With over 100 of my kits sold, not a single failure to date on my single latch design.

I will also note that I have dropped my prices a few weeks ago. 50$ less then mentioned above.

I designed my kit almost two years ago and was the original "bumper latch kit". I have perfected it over this time to assure my customers are getting a safe, and quality product.

It was only a matter of time until others tried to follow my idea.

No it's not. If I take one latch out and shake my bumper around it moves wayyy more than when I use two!

Makes the bumper/fender line up perfectly as well.

These guys make stuff purely for racing, they're not going to half *** anything...they build, test and rebuild to perfect the product if necessary.

That's funny bc my dad has used these latches on the engine housing for his boat for 3 or 4 years now...I guess ToxicFab followed my Dad's idea then?? lol jk

Truth be told to the EvoM crowd...these quick release latches can be utilized anywhere and have been for years. Ive seen that ToxicFab does great work but don't let ppl fool you into thinking they came up with the original idea.

Move Over Motorsports is an authorized dealer and they also do Hood QR kits! I don't think they are copying, just applying these latches for different applications and they do a good job at it!

Yes...having Two QR's on each side holds much better!

Once again (2) latches on each side is overkill....And ToxicFab was the first to make these kits for evos, so yes, they came up with the original idea on this platform.

So anyone that has made a similar kit to this since ToxicFab has copied him. But people/companies copy each other everyday in this industry so it's nothing new...

Never said I designed or used these latches before anyone had used them for other purposes. However I've been working closely with Quik-latch for several years and I was the first to release a product that incorporated the Quik-latch product. Even further so I was the first to design and release a "bumper latch kit" again, utilizing the product.

I understand this means nothing to anyone and its all about who can make it cheaper. My only reasoning for explaining myself is simply based on the fact that I have developed the kit long ago and found what works, and what doesn't.

So i can say that 06MREvo is correct when he says the 4 latches is not necessary with actual knowledge and testing standing behind it, not theory

i doubt two latch's on each side are overkill its more like added security that your bumper wont be slouched over or easily knocked off ....

no such thing as overkill on a car you care about

im gonna put 4 on each side! its not overkill on a car you care about!! im also thinking of putting them on my rear fenders too! i think they will go with my curb feelers and really set off the car.

lol

I know that some bumpers do tend to "droop" so it makes sense to me that 1 could act as a pivot point and 2 would help keep the seams tight and keep the bumper lined up a bit better helping to eliminate that "droop" over time.

I love Colin's stuff and have recently ordered a few parts from him. Looks like someone tried to improve the original design.....Question is is it an improvement?
