Oxidation product suggestions

Im sure im not the first or last RR evo owner to cry about his oxidized fading paint.

Wanted to know what this section would recommend to remove the oxidation. I have a Griot 6"/3" random orbital buffer with various pads.

I heard the Meguiars cleaning wax is great for swirls, tried it on a friends black bmw and worked great, but not sure about oxidation removal.

If you already have a DA I'd prolly walk into a O'reilly's/Shucks/Autozone and walk out with some M101 and a Megs MF pad (your foam pads will work well though too).

only worry is the paint coming off with an agressive compound, am i wrong to worry about this? at least on my 3000GT i know the paint was really soft and started to come onto the pad easily.

Maybe post a picture of the situation...I'm no expert. But I'm pretty good with it. My car was horrible oxidized and brought it back to life. Yes I did touch paint, but put a good sealant and at least monthly maintenance and should be good.

If its only sections of the car I recommend

Tester kit.
As for pads

This is what i use.

If you got a DA polisher then you'll be just fine.

sucks having single stage paint.

I would do M101 as stated above, then wash down with 50/50 water/rubbing alcohol mix
then put on opti seal or opti coat and have a nice solid sealant that will last months or years respectively

to me thats looking pretty bad. almost as bad as my car. I would set a full day off for this car. swirly, and oxidized pretty well.

my reccomendation:
Wash
clay
mild wash
polish
seal wax
detail spray(optional)

have you a real good advantage with a DA polisher. If you want just a touch up want to get rid of the oxdization, a mild compound with a medium foam pad will do you good. actually just maybe a polishing foam pad.

ive never used the meguiars products as stated above, but i'm sure it will get the work done. I'm just a big fan of chemical guys stuff.

My paint was just as bad if not worse. I did exactly what I just told you in earlier post and now my paint has some life in it. Shiny, smooth, and just alot better than before. Unfortunately I was compounding past the clear coat and had paint on my pad. But I think as long as you maintain proper sealnt and wax you shouldn't have any problems.

thanks for the recommendation!

my last resort was to just reshoot it, but wanted to try something less severe first.
