HUH??? I'm lost. The radio is twice as deep as any gauge I've ever seen and it fits in there with room to spare so please explain how you come up with this analogy???

i think the craig hardy one is very nice but recessed and angled is something no one has done yet and looks so hot in the Z IMO

and i think it might have to be 52mm just becuase theyre may not be enough room for 3 60mm gauges that are reccesed and angled...but ill have to see ( room lenthgwise not depth because BADEVO is right.,...the depth is def not a factor)

The angle of the gauges is too much. You are not sitting that far to the left. The Hardy gauge panel has a nice slight angle.

I dont think its really the angle that he's talking about, its the fact that the gauges are set back within the dash instead of poking out....and i have to agree thats why I was never interested in the look of the 3 pod dash panels cause it ended up having the guages poke out...

When they are angled like that, most gauges are pretty deep and wont work without trimming the DIN out.

It's not that the gauges are too long to fit in to the din space. It's when you angle the gauges towards the driver, the back of the gauges (behind the panel) are offset towards the right. The 3rd gauge (one closest to the pass side) bumps into the side of the din.

So I'd bet that you could likely recess the gauges into the panel and angle them pretty far if you were willing to hack up the din case....... or if you were ok with just having 2 gauges.

I remember reading that post awhile ago, he took a subaru pod and modified it to fit the dash of the Evo. You should be able to find it out there somewhere.
