How can you take off the badges?

I want to take my "Lancer Evolution" no good badge off the back, so can I use a hair dryer and heat it up and pull them off? Or, do i need to get someone to do it, like the dealership? And what about the left-over sticky?

Use a hairdryer for like 5-10 minutes, then use dental floss to slide between the badge and the trunk to unstick it. It should peel right off. Just use Goo Gone to get the remaining sticky off. That's how I did it. You can't tell anything was ever there. Good luck

PS: If the dental floss doesn't work for you, just put a rag over a flathead screwdriver and pry it off slowly, but either way is fine.

I think its been mentioned before here hairdryer and dental floss. I let the deck lid sit in the hot sun for a few hrs and used some spray wax on the dental floss to lube things up.

Catch the dental floss under the adheasive and use a sawing kind of motion. Worked for me.

I used the hair dryer, but I just pulled it off slowly with my hand as I heated it...

whoa you better be careful as you are taking off clearcoat with that... even goo gone is alil strong but wont cut through clearcoat as quick as thinner will...

either way make sure to work quickly to remove the gunk then remove the chemical with rubbing alchohol ASAP.. then hit it with a nice coat of wax....

I never took off those badges, but did take off the god-awful dealer black plastic badge. All it took was about 2 minutes of a haordryer and it peeled off. I used this stuff called "Automotive Wipe Away" from autozone which worked really well. It also says on the bottle it is safe for clearcoats.

I used the hair dryer and dental floss and whatever was left over i took it off with 3M Adhesive and tar remover. It's clear coat safe. it's perfect for even taking off spray paint off the side of your car(yes it happened to me.)

hair-dryer , dental floss , and goo gone are the safest things possible to use.
