any voltage problems with the evo and car audio amps?

hello everyone.............i'm looking to instail my stereo into my evo but i have a couple of questions...........1 what size are the front door speakers? i have a set of MB Quart QSD 216's i would like to instail for my front stage but i haven't taken the doors off to see if they will fit. Second for amps i'm going to instail a JL Audio 300/2 for the MB Quart's and a 500/1 for my 10w7 i would like to know if anyone has something similar instailed in there evo and if you do have you had any voltage drops or headlight diming.......i have a 15 Farad Alumapro cap that will also be instailed that should help with the headlights and i know that there is a 90 amp alternator...........i'm looking for any input thankx

they are oversized 6.5" components in the front and the same (but they are coaxials) in the rear.

Sure, I've just installed 6.5" JL XR comps on my Evo RS on front doors. The mids hit the glass, so I fabricated a 1/4" baffle as spacer. I put the tweets on rear window triangle panel. Pioneer 6.5 in the back, it barely cleared. Stock rear holes are sized for 6.75". But 6.5" will barely clear them.

For the sub, have a sealed box w/ 12" single Alpine type R. Sub driven by JBL p600.1 and comps and rear by Eclipse model amp w/ 50w x 4. All controlled by Eclipse HU 8485.

The system sounds clean and sub surprising hits hard and loud but I need more power for the front comps.

I did'nt measure the voltage but from what I've read Evo battery puts out nearly 14v!

I've ran into couple problems though. One, system makes audible engine whining noise when car's driven at low speed. I've re-grounded the amps in the trunk, same thing! I need to check the HU, RCA cables, whole thing!

Two, now this is the irony, with all the effort I've put in I cannot fully appreciate the system when driving - the exhaust and mechanic noise kinda drowns the system out!!!

Oh well...

That's a giant cap, 15 farad!!! Do you mean 1.5 farad?

I got little light dimming w/o cap but nothing noticable. And I'm running a much smaller battery in place of heavy stocks!

I have 1000 watts running through my Evo and I never go below high 13's in volts. The HID's will not dim. Unless you have excessive power. I have a cap and never even installed it because I stay at approx. 14 volts.
