I had a few request from folks to do a set of my extra tail lights in gunmetal so I did. Here are the pre-final reassembly pics. I'm polishing the lenses before I but them back on. But you get the idea.

I still prefer the straight up black of the MR, but those are a close second. Good work man.

Thanks Lightning. As soon as I am done this pair I'll prob but them up for sale on a SWAP basis. Basiclly I send you the Modd'd ones and you send me back your tails plus an exchange fee. Dont what what the fee will be just yet. I'm gonna see exactly how long it takes to do a set.

I have a few pics of my car with the very first set I blacked out. Not the best set I've done but they look pretty darn good.

 

Working on a set of headlights on Monday or Tuesday. A friend has a white EVO with Gunmetal wheels. He just got the paint store to mix him some paint color matched to the wheels that we are gonna use on the headlights and tail lights. I'll post pics when thats done too.

 

Those are nice.. I thought color matched tails would look good on the grey MR. How close you think you'll be able to get it to the Graphite Grey? Does the grey show up clearly in daylight or does shadow and the glass lenses make it seem darker?

 

Bear - Actually thats funny you asked cuz I just got the paint code from the Grey MR and I am going to the paint place on monday to have him mix me some. I want to spray something to see how close it is to the color I'm currenty using. I'll report back on that.

Looks good in the daylight when the sun hits it as it has a small amount of metalic in it I believe. The lense I have does, because it's been tinted. The lenses are in the shop being polished so when I get them back I can give you a more concrete answer.

Man BADEVO those Gunmetels look great...I love the exchange Idea and would be willing to do that instead of getting the MRs if the price is good. Let me know...I can also leave you a deposite check, because I will only be able to send you my tails lights when i get the others to put on since it is my daily driver. Let me know.
