Hey everyone. I'm looking to De-wing my BBY evo so im looking for a lancer es trunk 2k2 - 2k4 (in blue by you or its equivalent) if anyone is selling one or knows where i can pick one up for a reasonable price (b/c i'm a broke **** college kid) It would be really helpful!

 

you wont find an es trunk lid in that color. the only blue is something like midnight pearl, and its kinda dark. youd have to re-paint unless you can find someone with an rs who wants to sell his.

 

poo. Well if any RS owners out there want a wing...I'd be happy to trade.

 

RS doesn't come in BBY either.

might try the lancer section of the forums.
there are tons of guys out there with cf hoods that have old hoods sitting around.

 

i could sell you mine once my carbon fiber one comes in in about a week. its got a tiny bit of damage from when i got rear ended. but if youre gonna paint it, its easily fixable. i got pics too. id sell it cheap too, since its damaged.

 

A few things you may want to consider:

1. Have you thought about removing the wing and patching up the holes in your trunk? You can sell your wing and get a few hundreds for it. That should more than pay for the patch job.

2. The BBY only comes with the big wing or the small wing. It doesn't come with no wing in any model. So if you want a colour match, you're out of luck. There are shades of Lancer ES's, but nothing that will match up correctly with BBY.

3. Evo RS trunks will fit, but again no colour match since they only come in red or white.

4. Have you looked into a carbon fibre trunk? They cost about $600 shipped, and you don't have to paint them. The cost of buying another trunk and painting it may cost a few hundreds anyway.

5. Are you sure you want to get rid of the hood vents? The vents are there for cooling reasons, and not just cosmetics.

hood vents? uhhh i would like to keep my hood...haha thanks for the info guys and im not looking for a cf trunk i personally dont like the look and the weight loss really isnt THAT important to me. Petey Pab i would be interested but i would preferably buy one from somewhere in the south east seeing as how im located in NC i appreciate the offer though. Rock on guys
