i have a red vinyl overlay for my front badge. looks pretty good. |
I am not sure but I swear the Lancer badge on the USDM MR is black.

What kind of paint did you use? Try Krylon Fusion paint it bonds to the plastic.

It's pretty easy to paint. Scuff it up very lightly with something like 180 grit sandpaper...very fine grit. Use Rustoleum Hard Hat primer. Give it two very light coats. Let it get dry to the touch between coats. Use Rustoleum Hard Hat semi gloss black. Two light coats. Let it get dry to the touch between coats. Reapply to car in desired spot.
Hints: Make sure it's above 60-65 degrees out when you do this...too cold and it does not flow well. Use rattle cans...brushing the paint on is verrrrry difficult to get smooth. See...it's easy! Take your time, don't get in a hurry. {thumbup} |

Really?? I did both my :mitsu: badges and they look great. I was going to take off the Evolution badge and do it when the weather gets better. Maybe the paint is effected by humidity?
|
could be, its very humid in south florida. i recall seeing a member with a 9 MR GG he had just got it too and his evo had the black badge. im gonna check it out see if i can find it.
