Pics of 18x9.5's and Evodave Heads & Tails

Here's a few pics of my car after getting the Evodave treatment on the heads and tails. Also had my 18x9.5's on the car with 285's. Enjoy.

285s? How bad do they rub when you have the wheel cranked all the way, or if not, then what did you do to clear the inside of the wheel wells?

nice! i noticed you rolled the rear fenders as well! good job!

lil'evil_evo Apr 4, 2006 01:57 PM

looks sick, are you on springs or coilovers?

Jrod@Buschur Apr 4, 2006 02:22 PM

That thing definately has to rub up front. I am running 18 x 8.5 LE37's on mine and I had to roll my rear fenders to avoid tearing out the sidewall on my tires and it also rubs pretty bad up front if I crank the wheel. I'm running TEIN S-tech springs.

Sharp lookin car man.

Car looks great

Thanks guys!

The car is on Tein RA's. I rolled/pulled the rear fenders, more than I needed too, but it doesn't rub even at low camber (-1.3). Up front it doesn't really rub either. I finally had the car out autoxing (the 285's are race tire only) but I didn't get any rubbing at the event. The wheels are +35 offset with a 10mm spacer (front only). I don't think they really rub at full lock either, but I haven't fully tested it.

Why the spacer in the front? First I've heard of someone with that combo with FN0C's needing a spacer.

Wow! That looks great! I just ordered a set of 18x9.5 myself and am having problems deciding what tire size to get. Are your 285's a 35 series? What tires are they anyway? Did you use the fender rolling tool or "the old" baseball bat trick?

kekek Apr 4, 2006 07:12 PM

The spacer's are necessary for the tire to clear the spring/perch at lower ride heights. The RA's use a standard 65mm (2.5" ID) spring. If I raised the car there would be no interference. I also run them for the extra track width, like I mentioned they are race only. I run the stockers on the street, I just happened to be out heat cycling these and the car was clean for once. Tires are Kumho V710 in 285-30/18. I rented a fender rolling tool for $50 bucks, we split it between 3 guys and it got real economical.
