I wouldn't want to lose any brightness in my headlights.

inco9nito99 May 23, 2006 06:51 PM

Do you have yellow overlays for the entire headlamp?

kee May 23, 2006 08:40 PM

Check lami-x, they have pre-cut overlays in yellow.

Personally, I havent heard any concerns with it, and I've been at it since 2000!

This is my car, so maybe I can answer a few of these questions.

I used to have the headlights and taillights tinted on my 350Z (I will include some pictures of it if there is any interest) for a year before I sold it (for the Evo!) and I never had any issues. Now, this car looks even better with the tint. I am putting the taillight tint on today so I will get pics from all around.

SicLanEvo: I don't use the foglights so I guess we will never know.

Sleet: Yes, you will lose some brightness in your headlights. I noticed it on the Z but not on this car, not really.

Now, the biggest reason I tinted my headlights instead of painting the inside: I have 4 different occasions where I was being lasered in the Z from front and back (as I passed) and didn't get pulled over. This may be in my head, but if there is any remote chance that this stuff somehow blocks the laser from reflecting back to the gun then I am all for it. If not, well it certainly looks cool!

(this is an independent claim and has nothing to do with Bluebatmobile.com).

Enjoy!

i tried to get these on my car once by myself and second time at a tint shop. they dont fit well with the curve around the headlight. pm bat never got a response. wasted my money.

DrunkMunkyStyle May 25, 2006 11:37 AM

Actually, they do fit with the curve, you just have to work it on with a hair dryer. Once heated slightly, it is pliable and you can shape it to the light and use something (I used a credit card) to squeeze the water out as you go. It isn't that difficult. It does help to have another person there with the soap sprayer at first and then with a hair dryer as you work the tint on.
