Voltex Wide Rear Fenders: Anyone Get Away Without Cutting Fender?

Hey all,

To those who have the VOLTEX Wide rear fenders..

I was wondering if anyone was able to get away without cutting the rear fenders, and just rolling/pulling them out far enough.

I'd like to get the rear wide fenders, but def. do not want to cut out the fenders in case I ever need to go back to stock..

Wonder if I can do 18x9.5" +22 on 265/35/18 with just pulling/rolling the stock fenders out far enough, and then have the voltex rear fenders over that.

thanks in advance!

Yes, you can do that. However, you may run into some problems (down the road) in keeping the fenders securely attached to the quarter panels (if you aren't planning on doing any drilling)

Noc
Whats up my Brother

I wouldnt reccomend it (putting it on without cutting)... you'll end losing your fenders on the BQE.

If youre going to run wider wheels, youll have to have the suspension set like a 4x4 to avoid rubbing and ripping.

There was a guy on the UK forums that did it... but he rubbed and couldnt do any real aggressive driving.

why not cut them ?? do you realize how far you will have to pull rear fenders to fit these wheels ???? You will F**k them up anyway, so might as well cut them

You're definitely going to want to cut them so $900 isn't getting runover by a tractor trailer in the middle lane

lol...

Well i saw the CBRD thread, and it looks like they took out a fairly large section of the fender and a little bit of the rear bumper.

in reality your fenders will be so mangled that going back to stock isn't going to happen either way

so you might as well just cut them

With this kit you certainly have to take sacrifices but it will all work out in the end.

+1 Not a kit to half ass, if your going to spend that amount of money, don't short cut it. Do it correctly.
