Classy shifter knobs that don't raise height?
Does anybody know of any cool looking shifter knobs that don't actually lengthen the throw of the shifts?
I've heard that the Momo shift knobs actually make the throws LONGER because they sit higher. I think the stock shifter looks cheap...I want something to replace it to make the car look a little nicer. |
Get the dealer option OEM Mitsu shift knob... I absolutely love it.. You can probably find a member selling one of theirs for mad cheap. It's nice and small and the throws seem shorter...

Well i am running the Perrin Short shift with a momo shift know... It is a short air leather top with an alumiun bottom, I love it...

I have the B&M short shifter and using a MOMO shift knob that has little indents that matches the ring around the shift boot.

Ralliart supposedly makes a nice one.

How do you like the short shifter? I am really thinking of getting one but I heard it may cause premature clutch wear?

i just installed the razo ra54 shift knob. looks awesome. it's a little longer but the throw is easier cuz the knob is weighted. 1-2 shifts were quicker for me.

I got a Momo knob over the summer but it's been driving me nuts. I can't seem to ever get a tight grip around the shifter, and if I shift too fast/hard the thing comes loose. If I try to tighten the allen screws too much, they go through the rubber spacer and start digging into the shifter thread.
The Momo knob is nice, and I love the feel. The throw is slightly longer but as a result you get more leverage and it's easier to shift. But... 3 allen screw setup just blows. I'm never getting another shift knob like that. I've gone back to stock for now and I'm thinking of picking up a Ralliart knob... they should screw on nicely like the stocker. BTW, are the thread sizes on the Perrin or B&M shifter the same as stock? Meaning, would I have to get rid of the shift knob if I got a short shifter? :dunno: |
I have the perrin and i love it
There is some cutting you have to do but if you have the right tools its alright I need a heavier shift knob so its easier to shift |
Here's some pictures of mine when I still had it on:

This is the best shift knob no question http://www.optauto.com/webstore/prod...k=yes&dept=118 and it's not to much. I have it and love it.
