CBRD- empowering our military clients...

Well,

most people had seen our CBRD military T-shirts stating "The Power to Protect"... encouraging people to support our military personnel.

One of our very good clients is stationed over in Afghanistan, and his friends dropped his car off on his behalf for some work he wanted us to perform, so he could enjoy the car when he gets back...

The car originally had some S1 cams, stock turbo, AMS FMIC, Cobb Exhaust, and some other bits... He wanted a bit more power, and wanted to stay on the stock block... so we created a game plan for him...

First off we decided that for his quick spooling needs and wanting to be around 400whp, the BBK would fit the bill nicely... and we could use his stock IX core since we had the car as long as we needed it... And we decided to let Dave Localio of HEADGAMES do his magic to the head so we could run nice S2 cams from GSC to give us some nice top end....

After about 2 weeks the head came back, looking PURDY (i dont have pics, but I will for another build we are doing soon with a Tomei ARMS turbo, see we arent biased hee he)....

We also added the beautiful JM FAB Exhaust manifold that they supply us with... always impressive work from these guys who are about 1 hr 20 mins from us!!

We put everything back together along with an Exedy Twin Disk clutch (6 speed MR).... After a 750 mile break in we did some tuning...

The car originally ran an MBC, but we converted him to ECU boost so we'd have rpm dependant boost control... utilizing a Perrin Solenoid...

So...

Here is what was changed and what he had before!!

Before:

CBRD tune, AMS FMIC, BR UICP and battery kit, Perrin Intake, MBC, fuel pump, S1 cams, test pipe, Cobb Catback, Downpipe

Now:

CBRD tune, AMS FMIC, BR UICP and battery kit, Perrin Intake, Perrin Boost Solenoid, fuel pump, S2 cams, test pipe, Cobb Catback, Downpipe, BBK, and HeadGames head, JM Fabrication Manifold built for CBRD!

And some pics...

and here is the dynochart... showing 3rd gear before, and 3rd gear now with the mods!!

So,

in respect to our client Dan, there you go... A nice clean street build... and a good foundation for later on.... We will be upgraded to the BBK-B later on, and some other bits...

but for now..

We'd like to say thanks for your service in the military!! and Thanks for allowing CBRD to take care of your baby while you are away!!!

Cheers

CB

LOL thats like asking me to speak German,

we have almost NO clients that go to drag strips... at all... its kind of funny,

im going to run our TA car (making 57X/47X on straight 93) shortly, but I wont be launching it, since its on 285's and 10.5's with some expensive differentials lol

399whp!!!! AH! If it was my car, I'd tell people it makes 400whp, just because :p

I guess I need some more friends in the Military. Looking at these results, as always, I also wish my car were with me on the East coast so I could take it to you guys at CBRD. Chad, I'm almost fluent in German, so I could translate for you. Drag racing is Cambodian to me as well though.

Thanks guys and again to you Chad. When you dont think shops can get any better...this one does. As I posted in the Dyno forum. Chad and his guys had made this whole process so easy for me and being half way around the world forward deployed makes it easier (one less thing). If any of you guys/gals out there are thinking about BBK's or just the tuning in general you really need to get with CBRD you will never look back.
Now If i can just figure out a way to get back home.
