Ben's Buschur Build...aka, BBB

To start off with, the purpose of this thread is to document the build of my evo into what will be a super badass street car. That being said, pictures will be rolling in as I get them and the thread will be updated very frequently. To start off, I want to thank James Reese of Reese Tuning, San Diego's premier evo shop, for taking on this great build and John Mueller of Muellerized for his suspension goodness{thumbup}. The car is already disassembled and Buschur has the engine and shep the tranny and t-case, so it should be all back relatively soon:cool:

Here is a breakdown of what this street build will consist of:

Engine:

Buschur 2.0L
Buschur Stg III head
Kelford 280's

Turbo:

Shearer long runner HTA3794 turbo-kit

Drivetrain:

Shep tranny
Shep t-case

Misc Engine:

SparkTech Non-CDI sequential COP
CBRD Radiator
AMS Oil Cooler
Secret Intake manifold, sorry, can't give any info out on it.
ID2000's
Buschur Fuel Rail
Buschur Double Pumper
QM Twin clutch
QTP Exhaust cutout
AEM EMS
Tial 50 Bov
Buschur Race FMIC
Buschur IC piping
Mil.Spec TB
Zeitronix LCD W/B
Buschur Dual stage Boost Controller

Wheels:

1) AME TM-02 17x9 +29 (Only set of 17" AME's in the United States, ever).
2) Custom made set. Will release specs and manufacturer after the car is completed.
Suspension:

Ohlins DFV Coilovers

There are some other things that I'm sure that I'm missing but these are the major things.

This car will be tuned on 91 octane as this is what it will drive around on 99% of the time and also MS109 for special occasions:mitsu:

Here is a pic of my old setup with the CCW's for reference and I will have some progress pics up tomorrow evening.

And here is a sneak peak at the new suspension:

Thanks for looking and again, I will be happy to answer all questions and I will be updating this thread frequently. I hope to have the build done in 4-6 weeks:beer:

Wow, what a fantastic parts list. You're really going all out with this build. Can't wait to see what it can do.

Just wondering, for straight 91 octane what kind of numbers do you have in your mind for a goals/estimated results?

i want those ohlins so bad :(

BenJ Aug 17, 2010 01:47 AM

The dyno being used is a Mustang dyno and as such I'm expecting high 400's on 91, maybe low 500's but that may be pipedream, not sure. On kill mode and race fuel though, I'm looking for high 700's.

They are super sexy...not sure if that is supposed to make you feel better or worse, but I'm very excited about putting them on. From the other Ohlin equipped evo's that I've been in, I can say that this suspension is absolutely amazing!

Nice. I don't think that's out of reach. 91 can be a heart breaker though.
But that fellow from English Racing did mid-500's Dynojet with 92 octane and a 3586. Stock block.

How long are you projecting for build time?

detroit pistins Aug 17, 2010 01:58 AM

nice build. post more pics.
