Anyone have pix..Lowered w/17's aftermarket?

Well the title says it all, Im sure it has been posted , I have been searching for pix but cant find any. I noticed most people are going with 18's, once I get mine I want to get it lowered and probably just stay with 17's.

If anyone has pix with one lowered with aftermarket rims it would be appreciated. Also if you know how low or what springs please fill me in. Thanks in advance

Nobody huh?!? :(

OK then what do you guys think of this. Im going to probably lower it with the Tein S and do some Gram Light 57Pro's in Gunmetal in like 17x8.5??

I lowered my car with JIC coilovers and fitted with Volk Racing LE28N wheels in gunmetal finish. I've posted pictures previously. Just search for the thread.

Im sure I've seen it, I have done so many searches, but most guys are running 18's. I like the look of the 18's but would rather just lower it and keep 17's and not mess up the perfect balance of the car (if thats possible :) )

Thanks for the heads up...I was looking at the pix, man 17's look small. I guess I'll lower it first and see if I like it with the stock 17's then go from there. Thanks

Looks good...how low is that?:D

Diesel Nov 30, 2003 04:29 PM

that does look really nice...

why the black spoiler though...? or is CF...?

Bluesmaster Dec 1, 2003 09:15 AM

Drop is 1.375" in front/.25" in back.
Spoiler is a used OZ (Actually Thunder Gray) I got cheap. I removed my large wing to protect it from the winter. I'm thinking about getting a lancer trunk and going wingless, but keeping the stock one and wings.

why change your rims? the stock enkeis are beautiful! just powder coat them if you're tired of the color...

seriously, if you're going to change your rims, go with some rims from a company that's been in the business and has proven themselves... volk, wed, etc.

don't waste money on rims that cost $200 each and want to kick your own ass when they dent a couple months down the road. i have a lancer with 18s, and i drive like i'm on eggshells  . took me an entire summer of minimum wage work to get my rims and tires!

an evo is meant to be driven hard... if you can afford the $30,000 investment, you should be able to afford to do things right

I think many people are staying with 17" wheels/tires because they generally weigh less then 18" wheels/tires, not because they are less expensive.

Dude, he has Speed Star Type-C rims; a.k.a. SSR Competitions. They are semi forged. They are super light and extremely strong. They are just as good as Volks; and NOT $200/rim. More like twice that. He has his stock rims for sticky tires and the SSR's for winter stuff.
