When I bought my Evo VIII, I had no intentions of taking it this far. Two years after I got it, the work began. I first bought cams, cam gears, injectors, motor and transmission mounts, clutch lines, brake lines, springs and retainers, fuel pump, and some exterior goods. I was doing a little research on Evo's and stumbled across a video of a built AMS Evo. This led to me calling AMS to see what my options were. They hooked me up with a boomba throttle body, the new F1-I intake manifold, and, the most amazing thing, the 850R turbo kit. That was followed by their intercooler piping and Tial Q bov. More recently I've put on AWD spec D2 coilovers, AMS intercooler, CBRD radiator, and Kelford 280 cams. My car made 541 hp and 463 torque on 93 octane last time I had it tuned. In the near future I plan on buying a Manley crank, AMS Je spec pistons, Manley I beams, ACL race bearings, and on replacing the oil pump, water pump, etc. I'm gonna post some before and after pictures and pics of the parts, as well as some of my motivational factors ;)

stock block? and drivetrain?

Yep stock motor and drivetrain. Just got 2.3 ams pistons in the mail last week and going to pick up a 5 speed evo 9 transmission wednesday to rebuild it. Then ordering oil pump head gasket water pump the following week. :) thanks for looking.
