Well, I'm back -_-

As a lot of people know, I bought a brand new EVO IX MR at the end of 2005 the day they dropped in Houston, TX. I then went on to put 180,000 miles on it, and like a jackass I sold it earlier this year for a 2010 EVO X SE...hated that, and bought the BMW 335i below. Like everybody told me, I missed the hell out of my IX MR, so today I picked this one up. 64k miles, bone stock...for now :)

The 335 is the trophy wife, but the EVO is the one I REALLY love -_-

Congrats on the evo again man!

thanks man lol yeah, the plan is to rebuild the old one exactly the same. first on the list is a trip to dallas to see KevinD for the 60k service, timing belt, boost leak check, compression/leak down test, etc, and a conservative tune. then off to the body shop for an SE front lip, JDM rear bumper, and paint the roof/vg black (like my old one), then I'll start collecting all the parts I had on the old one. once i've got everything, i'm gonna ship it off to dallas and get everything installed/tuned. I want to leave it stock performance wise long enough for me to race and relearn the limits of the car again, then I'll start the modding to get it back where it was.

You keep it way too real. The new car looks nice man. Glad to see you back where you should be- in a CT9A.

3. The driving experience (missed autocrossing/road racing as well)
2. The driving experience (missed the focused driving machine approach of the car)
1. The driving experience (the EVO X was a pig, and the 335 is just too soft and fragile)

3. High miles (180,000)
2. REALLY good price on a 2010 EVO X SE (unexplainable overnight infatuation with the car coupled with stupid good deal on it)
1. Stupidity for succumbing to "New car buying fever"

Good to see you back in an Evo.

AdvanRG2 Aug 7, 2011 07:34 AM

It's like you never left. At least you didn't jump into an STi.
