Powder Coating issue. Need advice

Hey guys, I just got my Valve Cover coated and have been waiting for a week to pick this thing up. Looked absolutely stunning when I picked it up! The guy told me to run it through the dishwasher once to get some of the beads out from underneath and in the baffles. Here is what it looked like before running it through the wash.

The problem I ran into was after taking it out. Looks like when you put a decal on a window and get those huge air bubbles. Only problem is, there is no air in them  Here's a pic:

Should I call this guy up tomorrow and ask him to fix this? I have no idea what happened. I didn't have it on any crazy setting. I just put it through the wash cycle with no detergent and a rinse cycle per his instructions. What would you guys do in this situation?

TIA

take it back to the shop. a local powdercoater once told me that fresh powder will stick to over powder. So i probably isnt a big deal for him to fix it. Good luck

yikes...is there a layer if clearcoat on it? My powder coated parts do fine in water and harsh climates.

Looks like too much heat was applied in the dishwasher

I'm pretty sure those baffles can be taken off (unbolted). I think it was R/Ternie(?) who did it and had pics on that thread. I personally couldn't put a freshly powdercoated piece inside of a kitchen appliance to clean it. Sounds pretty redneckish to me. Ask Carlos at TCC if that was a smart thing to do.

Dishwasher? lol.

What about a garden hose, or bath tub. At least this happened now and not when it was on the car.

Apparently it was left over residue I'm the dishwasher that got baked onto the coat. The guy was a little upset but said he would respray it for me. Said this time to just run it on rinse cycle. Oops. Guess this one was my bad haha
