What's with the ass?

I had my Evo de-winged and when I got it back from the body shop I almost pissed my pants, it looked like the trunklid was a different color. On closer inspection I noticed the trunklid actually matched the the rest of the car perfectly, but it was the triangle shaped bodywork that did not match up. I looked at photos taken before and after the de-wing and sure enough, the color was identical. Then I started looking at photos of the other color Evos. They all have this color mismatch! I wonder why?

im guessing that its the angle of the body and the light reflection. if it is the same close up, why would it be any different?
|
maybe its just the sunlight... :P

You are looking at pictures not real cars the paint matches on my car and on all the others in my area there are 15 Evo's and we meet up on a regular basis the only paint problem I have heard about is the red kick panels turning pink. I would take it back to the dealer if yours indeed has a different color.

looks just like shadows on all the pics

dude these cars are mass produced, the same mixture of paint is used on the whole car....the only thing that may cause different shades of the same paint would be different materials on which the paint was used. All my paint is the same color :dunno:

my car is like that.. my OEM bumpers and SS became a darker color.. if u look at my profile u can see my rear bumper and the difference
