New to the forum, here's my JDM Evo VIII

Hey guys! I figure it's about time I get registered on here, I'm going to be needed help over the next few months! I'm pretty new to the mechanical aspect of cars...everything I know I read in places like this! I purchased this car here in Japan already built as is, so I'm working with what I have! My biggest issue right now is my turbo...it's rated for 500 horsepower and it seems to be WAY too big for a little 2.0. It hits peak power at nearly 7k, and based on the dyno I'm not putting out THAT much more power than a FQ330.... I'm moving the Germany in a few months so hopefully I can find a mechanic there to help me out.
A bit about my car history...I went through four cars in four years in Tokyo. My desire to drive in different ways kept me getting new cars. Thankfully I made a profit off of everything but the last one I sold. I went from an R-34GT, to a gorgeous Celica GT-Four, to a mint S-13 that I had planned to take back to the US with me. When I decided to stick it out and go to Germany I sold the S-13 and picked up something better suited to all weather driving and trips to the Nurburgring, the Evo 8. Specs and dyno sheet are below..besides what's listed here I have no idea what else is in the car! I can say it drives very well and is an absolute blast! nice ride. What do you mean 500 hp is too much for the 2 liter? It isnt enough until stuff breaks.

uh...the gt-4 and silvia are both 2.0's as well, just with much smaller turbos. that's the way of life. big turbo = late spool but more power

TD06 25g is not that big of a turbo. Maybe you need to bring it to a US tuner and replace that HKS vpro..

Sweet MR you have sir. I see what you mean by lag. I prefer a quicker spool myself, but you are putting out good power. Welcome to the forum.
