Evo 8 nose chop with evo 9 grill, doesn't fit? help?
 

So I just got my evo 8 nose chopped and I want to know you guys that have done this, how do you go about installing the 9 grill? I've searched and people say it's a direct install but mine wasn't. Some help would be appreciated, Thanks.

So yeah, mine didnt fit as well. I ended up cutting out the grill and tacking it together on the 8 bumper

Nope not a direct install. All the people that have done it have either trimmed the grill to fit or made a custom piece out of some off the shelf mesh.

Thanks for the replies guys but yeah I actually got it to fit okay by bending some parts, its not the best but it works for me.

The trick is, get a lower mesh grille from the evo8 bumper, then use it on the upper portion where its now nose chopped (cut to fit)
