Running 255 (written on the tire) but they run wider than 255 so I think I qualify.
Year/Make/Model: 2005 AS MR
Wheels: 17x9 +35 5zigen FN01R-C
Tires: 255/40/17 Michelin Pilot Sport Cups
Suspension: KW V3
Alignment: -2.9f/-1.5r 0 toe
Fenders Rolled or Cut: Rolling rear
Other Body modifications: None
Advice: My advice is usually bad advice.

Do you guys think I can get away with 265/35's without much rolling in the rear (or none at all) on Advan RS 18x9 +29's? I know it's wishful thinking but might as well ask.

For EVERYONE who has problems with front fender clearance i HIGHLY suggest evodave's front fender mod. i have the first prototype and i actually wrote the install steps for it. so if you have questions let me know. he doesnt mass produce them. so let me know if you want one, and i'll be sure to tell him you need one.

265/35 with +29 offset will run it close. i believe the Swift Spec R's dont drop your car much...am i correct? if so, i think you'll be able to run 265/35 with minor rear rolling. but try not rolling them first to see if you'll even rub.
i dont know if the NT05s are narrow. so i'll take your word on it. im pretty sure it'll fit if they are actually less more narrow than 265.

The Spec R's are a 1.4" drop in the front, .8" drop in the rear. As far as the NT05 being narrow, I saw it in another thread where the guy was comparing them to his other 265's and said they were a bit narrower than the others. I have to see if I can pull it up again. Anyway, thanks for the response that's just what I wanted to hear!

Figured I would post up my setup now that it fits
Year/Make/Model: 2006 Evo 9 GSR
Wheels: 18x9.5 +40 Enkei NT03+m (25mm spacer up front, 3mm spacer rear)
Tires: 285/30/18 Hoosier R6
Suspension: Ohlins DFV's
Alignment: -3.8f/-1.6r 1/4" toe out front
Fenders Rolled or Cut: Heavy rolling in the front, mild rolling rear. No pulling.
Other Body modifications: (FRONT) ground down the pinch weld on the rearward of the front fender well. Hammered the flap to the side. Moved the ABS wires so they wouldn't touch the tire. Removed the front fender liners. Had to cut part of the side skirt off so it wouldn't rub...and hammer the mounting tab back. (REAR) with 265's I never had to run a spacer... with 285's I had to run at least a 3mm spacer. A 5mm might be advised to eliminate ALL rubbing. I had to grind down the flash on the trailing arm, trim the ABS/e-brake mounting tabs.
Advice: Spray undercoating in your wheel wells... go drive it hard for a bit. Come back and look for the spots where its rubbed off. Apply a fix (BFH or grinder) and respray. Try again. It took me about 2 track days to eliminate all rubbing. Also make sure you can fit close to two fingers between the tire and the fender in the front.
Front fender hammer and grinder work... you can see the white spot of undercoating showing through. That needed to be ground down.
And here is where it rubs on the rear trailing arm. You can see where the tabs are trimmed so they don't hang out there and eat up your tires. Also the mfg seam that runs the length of the arm can be ground down. I did mine with a file at the track.

R/18x9.5 +28
Tires: 265x35 Advan A048
Suspension: Buddy Club Racing Spec coilovers, perrin rear sway

Year/Make/Model: 2006 Evo GSR
Wheels: 18X9.5 +28 Volk LE28's
Tires: 255/35-18 (10.3" wide) Hoosier A6/R6
Suspension: Muellerized JIC's
Alignment: -2.x f / -1.x r 0 toe rear
Fenders Rolled or Cut: rear rolled even; front untouched
Other Body modifications: None
Advice: I'm personally NOT a fan of spacers; at least not big ones and don't want a staggered offset because I like to rotate evenly. As stated before, put some spraypaint inside your fender liners; then go drive. Come back and look at where it's rubbing and fix it! These still rub in the fender wells and on the front ground effect area. Never rubbing on the suspension or a-arms or fenders! Keep in mind, I track the car HARD.
