Yes. It will not cause the wheel to fall off. Just get it fixed as soon as possible.

3 of my wheels have each one stud broken for the last 20k miles.

wheel studs from a santro will fit. get it replaced asap.

Am I crazy in thinking it takes simply walking over with a fairly heavy hammer, and whacking it maybe once or twice and it pops right out of the back? And you just draw the new one into the teeth with the lug?

Taking the wheel off is the hardest part of it?

Pretty much smack it out and pull it in with impact gun. And a spacer in between cause the stud is likely longer then the lug nut and will likely begin to damage threads if the stud goes to deep.

Might also need to remove caliper rotor and maybe bend or remove dust shield.

They are designed to be replaced fairly easily.
