See what your saying but there is really no way the wheels can't center with these as the spacer locks down on the stock lugs centering the spacer. Put the wheel on torqued correctly and your centered

I know kics makes centric rings but nothing listed for the 10mm spacers just the 15mm+

Sorry to stray out of topic. Just wondering if installing spacers would result to premature failure of wheel bearings. Anybody had experience with this?

I wouldn't worry, I ran 20mm bolt on spacers on my 240 for a couple years without any problems.

It will put more stress on the wheel bearings, but unless yours are already getting bad it won't be enough to kill them in the near future.

*edit*
Oh crap. Sorry for bumping an old thread!

I run some 4mm spacers out from japan and they are fine. able to have more than 5-6 complete turns before tightening.

The general rule of thumb I believe is for it to be safe, it must be able to thread equal or greater than the diameter of the bolt itself...

looking to get some 5mm ones just to give my front wheel a little more clearance between the spokes and caliper

I've heard the same...

I've ran 5mm hubcentric spacers in the rear on a heavily track Evo for about 2 years until on stud broke on track. Instead of just replacing the one stock stud I decided to change them out for ARP extended studs.

Not sure about over there but all the wheel shops here supply locating rings for the hub to those hubadaptors are safe to bolt on. I run 20mm adaptors on my race car with no issues at all.

Fellahs, I've been wondering if the 25mm spacers with extended studs I have are causing any issues that I'm unaware of. I bought them from Ikaba (certainly not how to spell it). I like the aggressive look it gives my VIII but I'll quickly get rid of them if they are causing issues. Thoughts?

Spacers by themselves won't affect much when used with a wheel that has an offset that accomodates the spacer. If spacer plus wheel offset = close to stock you're fine. But for eg: if you use a stock offset wheel with a large spacer, it will put more stress on your wheel bearing and cause accelerated wear.

How many turns are you getting on those ???

the 5mm I get about 7 so assuming you only getting about 3.5...

make sure the thread is as long as the bolt width...

Thoughts or in put on the above topic, I've read some mixed reviews and opinions here.
I have an Evo IX, current setup is Enkei RPF1 17x9.5 all for corners. Up front I have 20mm hub centric spacers with ARP Extended studs. I'm wanting to run 5mm Hub Centric Rear spacer on stock studs. I use the car for autox and rarely drive it. Should I avoid doing the rear spacer ? Maybe order the ARP extended studs for the rear? Will I have to roll my rear fenders ? Any additional input would be great. I will be moving to a 255/40-17 Bridgestone RE71R, I currently am stretching a 245/40-17 RE71R now.

Thanks
