Is it really necessary to bleed the valve on the inside of the caliper?

Is it really necessary to bleed the valve on the inside of the caliper?
I ask because every time I bleed my brakes, the inside nipple always comes out perfectly clear with the new fluid.
I could cut my bleed time in fourths if I didn't have to remove the wheels.
Your thoughts?
