well since I am coming from the Honda world a very popular setup is the ground-control coilovers with koni shocks

is anyone running ground control coilovers with bilsteins here? i searched and only found people running their camber/caster plates but nothing about using an adjustable coilover sleeve on the stock struts

i personally bought gtworx springs to be used with my factory bilsteins but if they dont give me what i desire i want to look into ground control coilovers combined with their top mounted camber/caster plates

I have a friend whom runs these on his sti but I don't think there avaliable for the. they don't have it on the website. Regular lancer only.

with so many track tested, and dyno tested inexpensive coilovers on the market like the FA-500 series coilovers...I am not sure how GC would even compete personally.

yeah i agree the ground controls wouldnt be able to compete with the stuff out for the evolutions. ground controls are mostly just used in the honda crew to save money and lower the car for cheap

I'm sure you'll be happy with the GTWORX springs when you put them on.

I have thought about trying to use the OEM Bilsteins as the basis for a coilover with a ground control type set-up, but it would require some decent time and effort to get everything right. Not impossible, but not super easy.

Might not be the worst thing to work on actually. As the price of CT9A evo's come down so does the amount people are will/can afford to spend on higher end mods. A lot of the guy who have the money to afford 3k+ coilovers will also be looking for the next hot car.

So as they get cheaper, cheaper "quality" options will be higher in demand. DSMs didnt ever catch the high end suspension push possibly due to missing the big internet influx but look at the now, you can hardly find anyone even willing to try KWV3's which right now here seem only a step up from entry level.

I say go for it, make something original and cool

I looked into these and actually sent a bunch of emails, Was looking for some higher spring rates, get bilsteins valved to match, beat the coilover thing for a lot less $. Went with spec r's,exactly what I had, just this time revalved the socks.

I have talked to Ground control at length about Evo's. Per GC, there is no market since most people go with coilovers or springs and the market is saturated with buyers.

Keep in mind - with honda, one set designed can work on a multitude of vehicles - EF, EG, EK, DA, DC etc. That market does not exist with the Evo.
