Help

I just got rpf1 size 18x9.5 et15 wrapped in federal 595s rs-r 255s
Wondering if they would fit my evo 8 with a slight fender roll nothing major? Plz and thanks

Hey, thanks for kicking off the thread again. Not too much fitment activity lately

To be honest, the +15 is super difficult to fit w/out rear fender rub. Simply put, a serious flat rear roll is needed combined w/an aggressive rear fender pull if a zero rub fit is needed

Let me know if you have other questions

And how do i go around doing a aggressive fender pull?

The +15 should be out of the question, but if you did run them, it would be a show wheel, susceptible to rub in certain instances. The +15 can not be used as hard street or track wheel!!!

The rear fender work is done like this: First, a rear fender roll: heating & rolling, trying not to crack the paint, but, many times the paint will crack & have to be treated

Most good shops will use a porta-pwr that gets placed inside the rear well, then pumped until clearance has been achieved. A slight crease in the rear fender will likely occur (mine does )

The rear bumper bolt will also have to be relocated.

Are you Ok w/running a show wheel that will rub in certain instances? if not, lets pic a wheel w/a more friendly EvO offset.

yes 17/9 +25 with 235/45 Dunlop Star Spec (I think they are Z2?)

My next thing is fitting my OEM BBS MR 17" on my 2012 Mazda 3 Hatch. I need to powder coat repaint them first.

Hi, im new to the forum and just trying to get help/advice on my new wheels, rota grid 18x9.5 et20, they do not seem to fit my car at all even tho so many others run this setup. Mine seem to poke out so much and im not sure what to do. Any help is much appreciated.

Hi Andre

Yeah, An 18x9.5 +20 is a very difficult wheel to fit a stock body EvO rear. There are some that run this offset (+15 to +20) but its really considered a "show" set-up & prone to rear rub

Is there any chance they can be sold for a better fitting 9.5" wheel (i.e. 18x9.5 +30 to +35) ?

If you cant sell them,let me know & will give you the basics on what is needed (need your tire size!)

Thanks for your help. I wish i didnt buy these wheels! You say on the rear but it seems to me as if they poke out more at the front?
Im going to try sell the wheels but its not going to be easy i really just wanted them to fit.

My tyres are 255/35/18 michelin pilot sport 4

Will i really need that much work to make these fit PROPERLY without being just a show wheel?

Well, If you can sell them that would be best, but to fit something like this you would need the following
A rear fender roll (tight)
A rear fender pull
Re-locate the rear bumper bolt
Change your front camber to -2.0
Change your rear camber to -2.0 max

Even after doing the above items, there is no guarantee that you will have a zero rub fit. As noted, +20 on a 9.5" wheels is super tough to fit correctly in the rear.
