Tire / Wheel Fitment Questions
#3631
I got a good deal on some work Kiwami's 18x9.5 +38 but don't know the size of the spacer needed to clear brembos.
I cannot find the answer ANYWHERE.
I hear minimum the offset needs to be +20 to clear brembos but kiwami reps clear STI brembos at +34.
Am so confused! Someone please help!

Let me know if you have the wheels in your possession

I will be test fitting them this weekend to get an approximation but was hoping that in the mean time someone would know!

Buy yourself some washers from the hardware store & stack them up on 2 of the studs, opposite each other to determine how much distance you need to clear. If you get beyond 25mm, I would stop & call it a day, & find another wheel
Hopefully you will just need a spacer less than 1" or 25mm
Heres an old thread on these wheels. Not much help, but the former vendor commenting on some fitment questions: https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...cave-face.html
Keep us posted on what happens!

The 275 is a great tire size for the 9.5" wheel, but this will need the usual suspects in mods (slight rear fender pull, roll, bumper bolt relocation)
I run almost that same spec (17x9.5 +30 w/275/40's). Your +34 gains a minimal .157" of inboard clearance over what i run.
We just need to find you a good body & suspension shop that can do the work or it certainly can be one in the home garage

Im getting ready to pull the trigger on a set of wheels to finish off my build and have searched and searched for answers to my fitment questions to no avail so if anyone can help me out I would greatly appreciate it.
I have an Evo 8 and want either NT03's, Esr sr6 or sr9s.
Question is what is the most aggressive wheel/tire combo I can run without rolling or pulling the fenders at all 17 or 18".
Thanks in advance for any help..
