Alright so here is my problem. I did an ABS delete on my 03. I installed the new lines and new MC. I hooked up my Motive power Bleeder and bled the lines till all new fluid pulled through. (from clear to blue) Now my problem is that my pedal is complete mush. However if i drive around and i am using the brakes a lot it becomes nice and solid then it will slowing go back to being a sponge again.

I have no leaks at any connections, i am not loosing fluid, i bled the system about 4 times so i know for sure the lines are 100% air free.

What i am wondering is if i missed a key procedure when replacing a MC... Bench bleeding? I did not do this nor was i aware i had to. I simply installed the MC and filled it up and started the bleeding process.

I am wondering if i have air trapped in the MC itself and the Motive is not pushing it through?

If anyone knows anything that may help me solve this issue..please chime in. Thanks in advance

I think this is your issue. As far as correcting it I am not sure how to go about it as I have never experinced that personally.

I was thinking about cracking the lines where they enter the MC and doing they typical pump method to try and push the air out. I tried it once today one line at a time and it did not make a difference.

took the master out and bench bled it..i put it back in the car and motive bled all the wheels.. pedal is still mush. somehow air must have got back in the system. man this is frustrating.

I would think bleeding the MC should do it. There is nowhere else for the air to hide. Get ahold of the shop manual.

Bleeding brakes can be very frustrating. The best way to do so is the 2 man method, 1 guy pumps while 1 man breaks the bleeder screw open.

Just keep at it and you will be ok.

i had the same problem and then Filled the brake fluid reservoir up to the neck bleed one and refill all the way up this will stop any air going in to the line just make sure you fill up every time

are your brake calipers toasted?

Mine were leaking and causing uneven pressure on the back of the pads...my car still worked and stopped fine until I went to do the next brake job then no matter what I couldn't get a firm pedal after bleeding it...turns out the seals were leaking on one of the calipers causing loss of brake pressure.

try the two man method and just be sure to not let the resivoir get to low on fluid. could also let it gravity bleed. have used a few times and it works great too, just takes quite a long time. i have replaced mc in the past and never had to bench bleed them either

I also found on my car that i could get a firmer pedal if i bled the inner nipple before the outter

Was the car on or off when bleeding with the 2-man method? I would think it would help pushing out the fluid easier? Maybe have to bleed the system twice?

Sounds like you are getting air in there somewhere. Check the reservoir often during bleeding and make sure its topped off regularly. If it gets below half way there is a chance you are getting air in there somewhere.
