Don't mean to ***** the thread with pictures however I thought I would throw up a couple of photos of my car with NT03 17x9.5 +38
My current tires are 245/40 star specs however I plan to get some meatier rubber when they are shot.
My rear fenders are rolled. What kind of rubbing issues will I experience with say a 265/40 star spec?

^^ chu has the sizing/spacer reqs spot on.
as far as tire size, imo a 265 sits perfect on a 9.5 in wide wheel, will require some fender work. 255 is the most popular, doesnt require (generally) more than a quick roll, handles great. for AutoX 275 is a great set up, requires more work.
just please, for the love of god, dont buy a 205 tire and put it in a 9.5 wide enkei. please and thank you

So I am definitely leaning towards going with a 265. My rears are rolled and it would be on the 17x9.5 +38 NT03's. Alignment specs are -2.8F -1.5R camber.
How much rubbing will I experience on the front? Also my rears are rolled but not pulled and the bolt has not been relocated. Hopefully this would need to be done in order to fit 265's...

I think the 17's are just awesome. Functional, and for what I am doing with my car they are perfect. I am just waiting for my 235's to wear out so I can go the 17x9.5 with some 255's. I was thinking about stretching the 235's on but that might looks wack.

Everybody has the NT03+m 17x9.5 +38 on their web sites but not in stock. I called about 30 venders including Robi, Evasive and Vivid. This was about 3 months ago but trust me I made a pain in the *** out of myself looking for this size.
