Brembo O- Ring size

Quick Question. Does anyone know the size of the o ring for the brembos when you take them apart? I have tried a 6mm ID x10mm OD x 2mm W. Seemed a bit small and a 7mm ID x 11mm OD x 2mm w and that seemed to fit ok.

Wanted to confirm before i put them all back together.

I intend on getting my brake pads redone in the near future, I would also appreciate the answer to this if anyone knows.

You don't take the calipers apart to change pads so this o-ring won't be a factor.

You can also buy an inexpensive digital caliper(the ruler not the brakes) and measure the diameters yourself.

I did google it and i can't find anywhere that actually gives the size of that little o ring I have pointed out. THe replacement kits don't sell them. I found one video that says its 6mm but its from the G35 forum. but the 6mm seems a bit smaller and the 7mm fits better. So I am still unclear on the actual size of this oring.

After a quick 5 minute search it looks like the o ring will be impossible to get. Its a round gasket with a sleeve.

Also even brembo themselves wont sell them because they are apparently never suppose to be taken apart.

Not being Lazy I have done a bunch of searching. but pretty much came to the same end result. Not a good thing to take them apart. My PC asked me to do so. In any case I am going to try and put them back together. After reviewing the links that you sent here is a suggestion on the part that could be used as a replacment but no one has commented whether its a good replacment or not.

That is what you need, order from http://www.mcmaster.com, item number 9464K113

Even though this is an old thread I wanted to add some info about the Brembo cross-over o-ring size since it was difficult for me to find myself. I hope this helps someone in the future.

The o-ring needed for the cross-over between the 2 halves (if split apart for powder coating) is not readily available since Brembo does not advise doing so. After purchasing some from McMaster.com as suggested by another thread, I found out that they were far from being the correct size. These are the ones that were suggested, but DO NOT buy them as they are too big:

Chemical-Resistant Viton® Fluoroelastomer O-Ring
3/32 Fractional Width, Dash Number 108 P/N: 9464K113
https://www.mcmaster.com/#9464k113/=19hmijh

The ones that KNSbrakes.com sells are correct. Since they don't give any info on them I have to assume that they are Viton material.
http://www.knsbrakes.com/c/car-item/...ss+Over+O-Ring

I purchased these after the wrong mcmaster ones and measured them to find out what they are and to share the info. I measured the ID with a pin gage and the OD with calipers while on the pin gage to resist deflection. I have added the photos below to show the correct measurements.

The Brembo cross-over o-ring is M1.78x6.75
Cross section/Thickness: 1.78mm [.070in]
ID: 6.75mm [.266in]
OD: 10.31mm [.406]

Here is where you can buy them in the correct material and size:
Viton®/FKM O-ring 6.75 x 1.78mm Price for 25 pcs
Price: $5.70
SKU: 675178MMV
http://www.oringsandmore.com/viton-f...ce-for-25-pcs/

Or they have an ebay store as well.

I sure hope this helps at least one person out there!
