Question about used pads on new rotors!

Hey guys, a couple months ago I made the mistake of installing my new Ferodo Ds2500 pads on my OEM rotors without getting them resurfaced. The only reason is because I planned on replacing the rotors soon anyhow. I can't find anyone to machine flat my pads for new rotors and my pads have some minor grooves in them (record player look). With new slotted rotors, should my pads wear down evenly after a bit of driving?

Why not get your rotors resurfaced now! That a basic service any decent auto parts store provides

How about sanding the pads down yourself. Lay some gritty sand paper down on a flat surface & shave down. Wont take much, just a few passes

Never heard of this method. Interesting though! If you try, let us know how it goes!

I do it all the time, especially for knocking pad glaze off when pads squeal from getting too hot-- works every time. He could also use a sanding block on the rotors as well to help the pads bed in. Not as effective but works.

Just put them on, drive very easy. They will flatten out to the new rotor in a few miles with frequent stops..
