I know that the oem nut from the rear trailing arm will fit the balljoint on the rear toe arm. I have also measured the length of the ball joints before and they are the same. Also the replacement boot is the same part number for all three parts.
I would recommend emailing HARDRACE USA with the part number of the Hardrace rear ball joint. To see if they can order it for you.

This really is a big deal..if it is correct... i know plenty of people who have had to replace the trailing arm due to the ball joint going bad. Me included.
IIRC the ball joint on the trailing arm is bigger with a different boot cover. Takes the same cover as the front lower control arm. FYI all the rear ball joint cover/boots are available from Mitsubishi /\/\ yes I agree. No they are not the same part number. The hole in the boot is different for the rear trailing arm. Ask Russell at Mitsubishiparts.net he had to replace two since they are different ( this was on on my 2005 MR ). As I said it matches the front lower control arm.
Has any one ordered these ball joints and tried installing in the rear lower control arm? Is so, please post up as I have 2 control arms that need replacement joints. The boots I will source from Russell.

I think the OEM arm is really great. Dont waste your cash on aftermarket part just because you have a dead ball joint.

$180/pair is pretty dang pricey for ball joints. I know it's better than a NEW arm, but still. Ball joints for most applications are under $50 each.
Good to have the information, but I'm not in a rush to replace all 6, yet. I'm still a bit weary about this fitting in all 3 positions. If they boots are different, I'd assume the size of the threaded shaft may be a little different, too.
